Martha Chapman

Martha Ann Chapman, age 86 of Lake Bowen, SC died Friday, February 15, 2019 at the Landrum Hospice House.  Martha was born on July 22, 1932 in Rutherford County, North Carolina and was the daughter of the late William Frank Greene and Magaline Mathis Greene.  She was a member of the Sulpher Springs Baptist Church of Forest City and worked in textiles many years upon retiring. 

Martha was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend.  She will be deeply missed but fondly remembered for her generous and kind spirit.

Survivors include her husband of 61 years, Paul Chapman, her two daughters, Paulette Chapman and husband Ron of Chesnee, SC and Gina Chapman and husband Rick of Atlanta, GA, her grandson, Alex Kiorpes as well as four step-grandchildren, Caylee Robillard, Dylan Robillard, Kristen Thornton and Andi Cantrell-Bolduc.

Funeral services will be held at eleven o'clock Tuesday, February 19, 2019 at Sulphur Springs Baptist Church with Reverend Ron Wilkins, Reverend Heyward Calvert and Reverend Everette Chapman officiating.  Interment will follow in the church cemetery.  Visitation will be at the Padgett & King Mortuary from five until seven in the evening on Monday, February 18.  The Padgett and King Mortuary is in charge of all arrangements and an online guest registry is available at www.padgettking.com
