Margaret Jane Ferguson

Margaret Jane Ferguson, age 72, of Forest City, died Tuesday, December 10, 2019 at Atrium Health-Cleveland in Shelby, North Carolina.  She was the daughter of the late Roby and Beatrice Beck Brackett and was also preceded in death by her brother, Horace Phillip Brackett.  Margaret worked for more that 20 years at Cone Mills before moving on to a role as a medical technician in home health care.  Margaret was a former Sunday school teacher and faithful member of Wilson Baptist Church.  She was a devoted and loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.

Survivors include her son Donald Hugh Whitener of Forest City, two daughters, Jane Ferguson Weast and husband Robbie of Rutherfordton, Pamela Ferguson Saine and husband Jamie of Mooresboro,  a sister Roberta Bridges of Cliffside and a brother Johnny Brackett of Forest City.  There are also seven grandchildren, Matthew Weast, Sandy Smith, Ashley Duncan, Jordan Weast, Anna Weast, Courtney Saine and Trey Saine , and great-grandchild, Carson Smith.

The funeral service will be held at 2 o'clock Saturday, December 14, 2019  in the Wilson Baptist Church with the Reverend Billy Bostic officiating. Interment will follow in the Cool Springs Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 pm Friday evening at The Padgett & King Mortuary.
