Lucille Campbell Davidson, age 94 of Forest City died Thursday, March 22, 2018 at Hospice of the Carolina Foothills. She was born December 12, 1923 and was a daughter of the late Noah Aden Campbell and Eliza Norville Campbell. Lucille worked in the cafeteria at Forest City Elementary School for many years and later worked in the cafeteria at Rutherford Hospital.
As a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother she was devoted to her family. Lucille was also a faithful member of Smith Grove Baptist Church where she was the oldest living member of the church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Davidson, her daughter, Josephine Davidson Hawkins, as well as four sisters and two brothers.
Survivors include her son, William Davidson of Earl, NC, a daughter, Jo-Ann Davidson and her fiancée, Marty Martin of Bostic. There are nine grandchildren, sixteen great-grandchildren, five great-great-grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews.
The funeral service will be at eleven o'clock Monday, March 26, 2018 at The Padgett and King Chapel with the Reverend Scott Huffman officiating. Interment will follow in the Eternal Hills Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 10 until 11 o'clock on Monday prior to the service.
