Louise Davey Obituary

Louise Power Davey, 75 went to Heaven July 24, 2018.  Louise always had a special smile for her husband Roland who she loved dearly and was married to for 57 years.   Louise was born in and raised in Marietta, Georgia and a lifetime member of the United Methodist Church.  Louise also lived in Hendersonville NC, Sumter SC, Kannapolis NC, and Augusta GA, where she was very involved with Roland supporting the Y.M.C.A..  After retirement Louise and Roland traveled the country, visiting all 50 states and 47 of them twice while making friends all along the way.  She loved giving back through the NOMADS Ministry helping to rebuild churches, supporting so many in need.  The smiling children when they saw one of the six HUGE murals she painted on the wall of their church made all the time and work worthwhile.

She enjoyed camping, holding dads hand, walking on the beach, collecting shells, sewing, beadwork and painting. Hope they have big walls in Heaven so mom can paint away and lots of beaches to walk on.

She is survived by her Husband Roland, her son Bill his wife Leslie, son Kenneth his wife Allenna, Sister Lauta Gangis her husband Aivars, brother in law Russ Davey and grandchildren Michael, Ben, Paige, Anna Walker, Liz, Christopher, Jessica, Sean, Great-grandchildren Weston and Hensley, a large extended family and many friends.
