Jan Allen Lovelace

Janice Allen "Jan" Lovelace, age 74 of Forest City died Saturday, July 13, 2019 at White Oak Manor.  Jan was born in Rutherford County on January 11, 1945 to her parents, the late William "Bill" Allen and Lois Henderson Allen. 

She was a member of First Baptist Church of Forest City and had worked for the Rucker Insurance Agency in Rutherfordton and later for Insurance Service Associates in Forest City.  Jan had also worked for Camp Trucking and McGee Trucking.  She is well remembered for her work in the Craft Department at Wal-Mart where she retired. 

Survivors include her daughter, Lisa Lovelace Pruett and her husband, Todd of Maryland, her brother, Jerry Allen of Spindale, grandchildren, Lauren Pruett Kelly and husband Matt of Maryland, Brannon Pruett and wife Lauren of Florida, her great-grandchild, Liam Kelly of Maryland and a niece and two nephews.

The funeral service will be held at 2 o'clock Wednesday, July 17, 2019 in The Padgett and King Chapel with the Reverend Dr. Bobby Gantt officiating.  Interment will follow in the Eternal Hills Memorial Park.  The family will receive friends from 1 until 2 o'clock Wednesday at the mortuary prior to the service.

The family is at the home of her brother, Jerry Allen in Sparks Crossing in Spindale.
