Hazel Elizabeth Toney Earley, 84, of Elizabeth Avenue, Forest City went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Sunday, April 22, 2018. She was born January 15, 1934 in Rutherford County, was a daughter of the late Oksie Tate Toney and Elbert Toney, and a 1953 graduate of Ellenboro High school.
Hazel was a member of Race Path Baptist Church and was the owner of Broadway Salvage, Inc. of Forest City. Her greatest passion was her love of flowers and making beautiful bows for memorial flowers each spring. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Glenn Albert Earley and sister Frances Toney Holtzclaw.
Survivors include a daughter Glenda Earley Wall and husband Danny, three sons, Randy Earley, Mark Earley, and Keith Earley and wife, Samantha, six grandchildren, Rebecca Earley, Madison Earley (daughter in law Geni Earley Greenley, Katelyn Earley (daughter in law Kim Weaver Earley), Glenn Earley, Julia Earley, Taylor Michelle and Pierce Earley; a sister, Ruth Toney Calvert and husband, Dupree Calvert, and Sister in Law Joan Earley Conner. There are also several nieces and nephews, loyal caregiver and friend Ruby Smith and her faithful dog Macy,
The funeral service will be held at three o'clock Wednesday, April 25, 2018 at the Race Path Baptist Church with Reverend Randall Cooper officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Mrs. Earley will lie in state thirty minutes prior to the service. Visitation will be from 6 until 8 Tuesday evening at The Padgett and King Mortuary.
