Faye (Allen) Tomblin

Faye Tomblin, age 91, of Forest City, died Friday, February 16, 2018 at White Oak Manor, Rutherfordton.  A native of Rutherford County, she was the daughter of the late Joseph Allen and Carrie Harris Allen and widow of the late William Logan Tomblin.  She retired from Broyhill Furniture, was a member of Mt. Creek Baptist Church and was a graduate of R S Central High School, class of 1943.

Survivors include her son, Anthony Gil Tomblin of Mt. Pleasant, NC, daughter, Desiree Tomblin Harris of Forest City, NC; grandchildren, Todd Harris, Trevor Harris, Thad Harris, Haley Tomblin, and Ian Tomblin; and eight great grandchildren.

The funeral service will be held 3 pm Monday, February 19, 2018 in the Mountain Creek Baptist Church with Rev. Billy Honeycutt and Rev. Charles McClure officiating.  Interment will follow in the church cemetery.  The family will receive friends on Sunday evening from 6 to 8 pm at The Padgett & King Mortuary.

The family will be at the home of her daughter on Georgia Avenue, Forest City.
