Ebbie Jo (Connor) Brown

Ebbie Jo Connor Brown, age 85 of Bostic died Tuesday, June 19, 2018 at her residence.  She was born March 15, 1933 in Cleveland County and was a daughter of the late Reuben Ray and Imogene Rippy Connor.  Ebbie Jo was a faithful Christian and a lifelong member of the First Baptist Church of Bostic where she was a Sunday school teacher.  She retired from Kemet Corporation in Shelby and enjoyed traveling with her sisters and spending time with her family.

Her husband, Richard Ben (R.B.) Brown, and sister, Jackie Gilliam preceded her in death.

She is survived by her son, Ricky Brown , and her daughters, Linda Brown, and Stephenie Freeman and husband Scott  all of Bostic, grandchildren, Chad Brown, Jessica Brown, Rodney Brown, Brittany Freeman Bly & husband Jeff, and Zeke Freeman, great-grandchildren, Brian Cole, Alyssa Cole, Abby Brown, Rylan White, Scarlett Brown, Mikey Brown, Curtis Brown, and Cadence Brown,   a sister, Joyce Hamrick of the home  and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 2 o'clock Saturday at the First Baptist Church of Bostic with Reverend Clay Earle officiating.  Interment will follow in the Bostic Baptist Church Cemetery.  Visitation will be in the church sanctuary from 12:30 until 1:45 Saturday prior to the service.
