Don Spratt

Charles Donald "Don" Spratt, age 73 of Ellenboro died Friday, February 16, 2018 at Mission Hospitals in Asheville.  He was born September 2, 1944 in Rutherford County and was a son of the late A. C. "Junior" Spratt and Bertie Lowery Spratt.  Don was retired from Bell South and was a member of Oak Grove United Methodist Church. He served with honor in the United States Marine Corps during the Vietnam War and was discharged at the rank of Sergeant.  Don loved the outdoors and was an avid golfer. 

Survivors include his wife of 52 years, Cynthia Philbeck Spratt, a son, Kevin Andrew Spratt of Ellenboro, three daughters, Donna Lynn Spratt of Abbeville, SC, Kimberly Ann Shell of Forest City and Lindsay Nicole Spratt of Asheville, two sisters, Patsy Andrews of Bostic and Debbie Toney of Ellenboro.  There are 8 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

Services will be private for the family.  Memorials may be made in his memory to any Veterans organization or the charity of the donor's choice.  The Padgett and King Mortuary & Crematory is in charge of arrangements and an online guest registry is available at www.padgettking.com
