Coley Lovelace Obituary

Coley Crawford "Chuck" Lovelace, 79 of Bostic died Thursday October 4, 2018 at Hospice House of Forest City.

Born October 28, 1938 in Rutherford County, North Carolina he was the son of the late Shuford Lovelace and Louise Lowery Lovelace Swink. Chuck, as he was known to his family and friends was a construction superintendent for Ballenger Construction for 32 years and later retired from Goodwater Construction with 23 years of service. He was a faithful member and loved his church, Liberty Baptist Church where he served on the Building Committee and over saw the building of the church. An avid gardner, he enjoyed working in his yard, was a loving and dedicated husband, father and grandfather. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a brother, Jerry Swink.

Surviving are his wife of 60 years, Nancy Morgan Lovelace; a son, Greg Lovelace and wife, Theresa of Bostic; two grandchildren, Cortney Lovelace Jenkins and husband, Jeremy of Forest City and Jared Lovelace of Bostic, and two great-grandchildren Savannah Jenkins and Luke Jenkins. Three sisters, Lorene Evans of Ellenboro, Margie Ramsey of Lincolnton, and Kathy Hammett of Shelby.

Funeral services will be held Sunday, October 7, 2018 at the three o'clock at the Liberty Baptist Church with the Reverend Dr. Mack Tester officiating. Burial will follow in the Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends Saturday evening from 6 until 8 p.m.at The Padgett & King Mortuary.
