Charles Davis Obituary

 

Charles "Glenn" Davis, 78, of Forest City went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, June 12, 2018.

Glenn was born in Anson County to the late Sandy and Allie Pope Davis.

He retired from Piedmont Natural Gas in Morganton, NC. Glenn was a people person  and especially loved being with his family. He also loved training horses and bird dogs in his younger years. Glenn was of the Baptist faith.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Roy Lee Davis and William Patrick Davis. Those left to cherish his memory are his wife of fifty-five years, Jean Jerome Davis, son, Michael "Mike" Davis and wife Amanda of Rutherfordton, daughter, Norma Davis of the home and son, Charles "Chris" Davis and wife April of Farmingdale, Maine, one brother Carey Davis of Marshville, NC and two sisters, Edith High and husband Bill of Marshville, NC and Mildred Fordham and husband Bill of Crestwood, Kentucky. He is also survived by eight grandchildren, sixteen great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. He is also survived by an "adopted" granddaughter.

Funeral services will be held at 11am, Friday, June 15, 2018, in The Padgett & King Chapel with the Reverend Paul Scott officiating. Entombment will follow at 3 o'clock at the Burke Memorial Park Mausoleum in Morganton, NC . Visitation will be from 10 until 11 prior to the service.
