Carolyn Kiser Obituary

Carolyn Love Branch Kiser, age 78 of Cherry Mountain Street, Forest City died Thursday, May 10, 2018 at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center.  Carolyn was born July 25, 1939 in Rutherford County and was a daughter of the late John and Maude Lee Morrow Branch.  She was a homemaker and a member of Missionary Wesleyan Church.  Carolyn was a graduate of Tri-High School in the class of 1958 and while in high school was a Majorette in the Band and a basketball player.  Following graduation in 1958 she married her late husband, Marvin Lee Kiser, Jr. 

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her brothers, J.D. Branch and Troy Branch.

Survivors include her daughter, Renee Kiser Langley and husband Kevin of Forest City, two sons, Greg Kiser and wife Carla of Forest City, and Jeffery Kiser and wife Michelle of Caroleen, a sister, Lela Branch Fish and husband Jim of Shelby.  There are also four grandchildren, Shay Carpenter, Ashlee Kallay, Michaela Moore, and Montana Kiser, as well as two great-grandchildren, Adilyn and Braedyn Kallay.


The funeral service will be held at two o'clock Tuesday, May 15, 2018 in The Padgett and King Chapel with the Reverend Dr. Bobby Gantt officiating.  Interment will follow in the Cool Springs Cemetery.  Visitation will be at the mortuary from 12:30 until 1:45 prior to the service.
