Brenda Edwards Obituary

Brenda Holland Edwards, age 64 of New House Road, Ellenboro, died Thursday, February 28, 2019 at Hospice of The Carolina Foothills. Brenda was born September10, 1954 and was a daughter of the late David and Mattie Holland. She worked for many years for both Cone Mills and Fieldcrest Mills before she retired and was a lifelong Baptist. She was also preceded in death by her son, Kenneth Ray Edwards, Jr.

Survivors include her husband, Kenneth Ray Edwards, a son, Chris Edwards and wife Melissa. a daughter, Nancy Hoyle, brother, Alan Holland, and sisters, Maxine Miller and Beverly Fisher. There are also 12 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.

The funeral service will be held at 3 o'clock Tuesday at Piney Mountain Baptist Church with Reverend Terry Padgett and Reverend Neil Murray officiating. Interment will follow in the Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery. Visitation will be at Padgett and King on Monday from 6 until 8 PM. The family will be at the home of her son, 530 Sunshine Lake Road, Ellenboro.
