Name: Howard Hill Date: March 21st, 1939 - February 10th, 2010 Obituary: Mr. Charles Howard Hill, age 70 of Knollwood Drive, Forest City died Wednesday, February 10, 2010 at Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center, Winston-Salem. A native of Rutherford County, he was a son of the late Earl Hill and step-mother, Pat Hill, and the late Maude McDade Atchley. He was a retired purchasing agent with Simeus Food International, Forest City; a graduate of Howard Business College, Shelby; a member of Pleasant Grove United Methodist Church where he was active in church mission work; and also served in the Army National Guard. Survivors include his wife, Mary Helton Hill of the home; a daughter, Deborah H. Wilkerson of Browns Summit, NC; three brothers, Bill Bridges of Spencer, NC, Bob Hill of Spindale, NC, and Steve Hill of Bostic, NC; a sister, Peggy Huffstickler of Gastonia, NC; two grandaughters, and his step-father Ray Atchley. Funeral services will be held at three o' clock in the afternoon Saturday, February 13, 2010 in the Pleasant Grove United Methodist Church with Rev. Alice Day officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service in the church fellowship hall on Saturday.
