Huntley, Jr. of Greer, South Carolina went to be with his Lord surrounded by his loving wife of 66 years and devoted family on Thursday, January 28, 2010. He was born on December 9, 1923 in Rutherford County and lived there until moving to Hopewell, Virginia to work for Allied Chemical. He was a resident of Greer, SC for the past three and a half years where he was member of Northwood Baptist Church of Greer and served in the United States Navy. Survivors include his wife, Ruth Mosley Huntley of the home, a son, Ed Huntley and wife Shirley of Sylva, NC, a daughter, Gail Huntley Woods and husband Robert of Prince George, Virginia, three grandchildren, Lisa Huntley Durrett, Jon David Woods, Jason Daniel Woods, and three great-grandchildren, Emily, Austin, and Alyssa Durrett. Graveside services will be held at Three o'clock MONDAY, FEBRUARY 1, 2010 at the Huntley Cemetery on Poors Ford Road, Rutherfordton. The Reverend Michael Harvell will officiate.
