She was a native of Forest City, NC and a daughter of the late Roy Russell and Margaret Irene Flack Blanton; a graduate of Cool Springs High School and retired from Pennsylvania House Furniture in Monroe. She was also a member of Central Church of God in Charlotte, the widow of the late Joseph H. McBrayer and proceeded in death by a grandchild, Shantel McBrayer in 1993. Survivors include three sons, Joseph Harold McBrayer of Charlotte, Mayse Keith McBrayer and his wife Wanda of Boone, NC and Ronald Braxton McBrayer of Charlotte, a brother, Charles Blanton of Forest City.
