Name: Theron Newton Cole Date: December 8th, 1927 - November 30th, 2009 Obituary: Theron Newton Cole, age 81 of Bethany Church Road, Forest City, North Carolina died Monday November 30, 2009 at Hospice House of Forest City. A native of Rutherford County and a son of the late Birch and Texie Splawn Cole; retired supervisor for Stonecutter Mills Corp. with 42 years service and was a Baptist. He also served his country in the United States Army during World War II. Theron was preceded in death by his daughter, Diane Cole Everett in 2008. Survivors include his wife, Mary Hardin Cole of the home, two sons, Steve Cole and his wife Lynn and Roger Cole all of Forest City. There are also seven grandchildren and five great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at Three o’clock Thursday, December 3, 2009 at The Padgett and King Mortuary with Reverend Wade Huntley and Reverend Marion Duncan officiating. Interment will follow in the Cool Springs Cemetery with Military Honors accorded by the Rutherford County Honor Guard. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the mortuary.
