A native of Rutherford County, he was a former employee of the Needmore convenience store and a member of the Baptist faith. Survivors include his parents Gerald and Jan Hamrick of Ellenboro, and a brother, Shane Hamrick and his wife Chelly of Cherryville. There are two nephews Matthew Hamrick and Nathan Nicely, and a niece, Joy Nicely. A graveside service will be Two o’clock, Friday, July 17, 2009 in the Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery with the Reverend Bruce Duncan and Reverend Jerry Ruppe officiating.
