Obituary:
Frank S. Gamble, Jr. age 87 of Old Caroleen Road, Forest City, North Carolina died Monday July 6, 2009 at his residence. He was born June 7, 1922 in Anson County, North Carolina and was a son of the late Frank S. Gamble, Sr. and Margaret Parasade Greene Gamble; a retired mechanic and a United States Navy Veteran of World War II; a member of Florence Baptist Church and the Virgil Webb Sunday School Class. Survivors include his wife, Gladys Whisnant Gamble of the home, a son, Ronald “Ronnie” Gamble and his wife Sandy of Mooresville, NC, a daughter, Ellen Gamble Arrowood of Forest City, a brother, Lawson Gamble of Bostic, and a sister, Christine Gamble Cook of Shelby. There are also three grandchildren, Chad Arrowood, Will Gamble and Max Gamble. He was also preceded in death by a son, Larry Franklin Gamble, and a grandson, Clint Arrowood. Funeral services will be held at Two o’clock Friday July 10, 2009 at The Padgett and King Mortuary with Reverend Dr. Bobby Gantt officiating. Interment will follow in the Sunset Memorial Park. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the mortuary.
