Name: Charles Ernest Huntley Date: August 16th, 1929 - June 6th, 2009 Obituary: Charles Ernest Huntley, age 79 of US Highway 221, Forest City, North Carolina died Saturday June 6, 2009 at Hospice House of Forest City. He was a native of Lawrence County, TN and a son of the late Claude B. and Lillie Artman Huntley; retired from Stonecutter Mills Corporation and was a member of Bethany Baptist Church where he supported the Red Cross Blood drives and was a former Amateur radio enthusiast. Survivors include his wife, Betty Toms Huntley of the home, two daughters, Cindy Davis and her husband Rick of Forest City, Linda McMurray and her husband Gary of Rutherfordton, a brother, Bill Huntley of Rutherfordton and sister, Delois Huntley of Forest City. There are three grandchildren, Tim Davis, Jeff Davis, and Jennifer McMurray. Funeral services will be held at Three o’clock Monday June 8, 2009 at Bethany Baptist Church with Reverend Marvin Green officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be held from 6 until 8PM Sunday evening at The Padgett and King Mortuary.
