Name: Birdie Cannon Ingle Date: October 23rd, 1912 - May 19th, 2009 Obituary: Birdie Cannon Ingle, age 96 of Sharon Street, Forest City, died Tuesday, May 19, 2009 at Autumn Care Center. A native of Rutherford County, she was the daughter of the late Joe and Lucy Cannon and widow of the late Will Ingle. She retired from Stonecutter Mills Corporation and was a member of Crestview Baptist Church where she was a former Sunday School teacher and member of the choir. She was also preceded in death by a son, Dean Ingle, three sisters and a brother. Survivors include her son, Jerry Ingle and his wife Faye of Forest City, a daughter, Gaye Higgins and her husband Bobby of Rutherfordton, a daughter-in- law, Christine Ingle of Forest City. There are five grandchildren, nine great grandchildren and 4 great great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held 2 pm Thursday, May 21, 2009 in the Crestview Baptist Church with Rev. Kevin Rohm and Rev. Boyce Gregory officiating. Interment will follow in the Cool Springs Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 12:30 until 2 pm Thursday at the church.
