Lavinia Haynes Haulk, age 91, formerly of Harmon Street, Forest City, NC died Monday May 18, 2009 at Hospice House. She was born April 6, 1918 in Rutherford County and was a daughter of the late Reverend William Logan Haynes and Florence Lattimore Haynes; a retired textile worker and member of Florence Baptist Church and the Friendship Sunday School Class. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Paul Harris Haulk and by her granddaughter and great-granddaughter.
Survivors include a son, Doug Haulk of Bostic, three daughters, Martha Jefferies of Rutherfordton, Priscilla Marshall of Forest City and Libby Fowler of Ellenboro, two sisters, Lillian Wall of Spindale and Bertha Gentry of Forest City. There are nine grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 1 until 2pm Thursday May 21, 2009 at the Florence Baptist Church Life Enrichment Center with a Graveside Service to follow at 2:30 in the Sunset Memorial Park with Reverend Dr. Bobby Gantt officiating.
