Marian Beaver Obituary

Marian Owens Beaver, age 80, of Bostic, North Carolina, died Tuesday, March 5, 2024, at Fairhaven of Forest City.  Marian was born on March 6, 1943, in Rutherford County and was a daughter of the late Edgar and Ethel Hardin Owens.  She grew up in Forest City and graduated from Cool Springs High School as well as being a member of Missionary Wesleyan Church.  She loved her church and church family and attended faithfully until her health declined. 

Marian was a devoted and loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, always concerned about their wellbeing. She also loved her cats and feeding the birds, especially the Cardinals.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence Beaver in 2012, her brothers, Talmadge Owens, Raymond Owens, and Paul Owens, and sisters, Eunice Owens and Dot Moore.

Survivors include her sons, Todd Beaver and wife Mary of Ellenboro, Travis Beaver and wife Felicia of Forest City, her grandchildren, Nicholas Beaver, Brooke Earley, Tyler Newton, Thomas Waters, Lindsay Watson, Heather Moody, Jordan Ann Johnson and, Kelsey Owens, great-grandchildren, Clarence Todd, Isaac, Morgan, Angela, Mason, and James.

The funeral service will be held at 11 o’clock on Saturday, March 9, 2024, at the Missionary Wesleyan Church with the Reverend Jason Madison and Reverend Everette Priddy officiating.  Interment will follow at Eternal Hills Memorial Park.  The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 o’clock on Friday evening at Padgett and King. 

The family is at the home of her son, Todd and Mary Beaver in Ellenboro.

Flowers are accepted or memorials in her memory may be made to Hospice of The Carolina Foothills, Post Office Box 336, Forest City, North Carolina 28043.
