The Padgett and King Mortuary on East Main Street has become a Forest City landmark. Since our inception in 1903, we have continually updated and modernized our historic structure to ensure every family and visitor is comfortable and at ease in our home. We offer beautiful staterooms for visitations, as well as, a beautiful chapel for those wishing to have services conducted in our facility. We also have installed a new on-site Crematory for those families that select cremation.

We strive to offer service with dignity and respect and in so doing, if we have helped to lighten the burden of those who call upon us, our aim has been accomplished. Padgett and King has been a trusted name in funeral service for more than one hundred years.
